countdown to tex-mex

The time is currently T-5 to Tex-Mex...and progressing!

For everyone in Houston dying to take me out to dinner and hear all about my grand adventures in the queen's England....I offer the following suggestions:
  • Lupe Tortilla
  • Chuy's
  • Lupe Tortilla
  • Molinas
  • Lupe Tortilla
  • El Tiempo
  • Lupe Tortilla
  • Chuy's
Please note the list does NOT included Casa Ole or Taco Bell. At this point, some people would say "Well, Dovie...beggars can't be choosers", but I'm not begging. So I'm being choosy. Is that so horrible?

I completely understand!!! I am counting down to Tex-Mex as well. I tried Julio's Barrio here in Calgary. The salsa's were the most disappointing thing I've ever tasted in my life.

I plan on wearing flip-flops also even if it's "cold."

counting down myself; El Charrito here is passable only because everyone who works there speaks spanish as a first language, but it isn't really Tex-Mex as much as it's just kinda-Mex.

Lupe's queso fundido is what I really miss. But Chuy's is always a must-stop.
